WK Summit 2026
Event Design

About the project
I was hired as a freelance designer by the communications team at Wotton Kearney. They were launching their first annual summit called WK Summit, tackling the intersection of technology, liability and human impact. The internal team was already stretched managing the event logistics, so they needed a trusted partner who could take the visual identity from concept to final execution.
My task was to build a cohesive visual identity system from scratch that would generate buzz among their clients and drive interest. Within the 4 weeks leading up to the event, I needed to lock in the identity system, deliver digital promotional assets and templates, and ensure all event day designs met production deadlines.
As the sole designer on the project, I established a highly structured workflow to keep the internal communications team aligned, combined with an agile approach to ensure production could continue without deadlines being missed.
With the event 4 weeks out, promotion needed to kick off as soon as possible. I rapidly iterated the core identity with the team while building out a storyboard for the launch motion graphics. Building these out together ensured motion was considered as a key element to the identity from the beginning and kept deliverables moving. The chosen direction built on Wotton Kearney’s existing colour palette, adapting their orange into dynamic gradient blocks to represent the changing nature of risk being redefined by technology.
I then moved into building out all the required promotional assets including templated social posts incorporating the 17 speakers, a landing page, and email banners. Meanwhile, I designed the event day assets including motion graphics for the 20 metre digital screen, presentation templates, printed signage, an agenda booklet, name badges and a gift box wrap.
The event was a massive success, with a turnout of approximately 200 senior leaders from legal and government. The Wotton Kearney team praised my organisation, proactivity, and timely communication, noting they were able to focus their own tasks without needing to stress about the design side.
